Package Drive

The Firefighters
of Southern
Nevada Burn
Foundation
(FSNBF) and The
Palms Casino
Resort will be
collecting care
packages for San
Diego County
wildfire victims
on Saturday,
Oct. 27 and
Sunday, Oct. 28.
Unsealed care
packages
containing
blankets, hats,
sunscreen and
toiletry items
will be accepted
between the
hours of 10 a.m.
and 7 p.m. at
the designated
drop-off
location on
Flamingo Road
and Hugh Hefner
Drive, adjacent
to the Palm's
Casino Resort.
All proceeds
will be
transferred to
San Diego County
on Monday, Oct.
29 and donated
to The Salvation
Army, which will
distribute the
items to
families in
need.
Warehouse
Installation
Transportation
Services (WIT)
has donated two
50-foot,
18-wheel
trailers, which
will be used to
transfer the
donated items.

Firefighters of
Southern Nevada
Burn Foundation
and The Palms
Casino Resort
are joining
together with
the community to
extend aid to
those affected
by this horrific
natural
disaster," said
Nino Galloway,
president of the
FSNBF. "From one
county to
another we are
doing everything
we can to make
sure that those
in need get
immediate
assistance."
The Firefighters
of Southern
Nevada Burn
Foundation, a
non-profit
organization
guided by valley
firefighters
from Clark
County Fire
Department, Las
Vegas Fire &
Rescue, North
Las Vegas Fire
Department and
Henderson Fire
Department, is a
charitable
organization
that reaches out
to the Southern
Nevada community
during
catastrophic
situations and
lends a hand in
areas where
other
organizations
are unable to
help.
The organization
provides
assistance for
sick or injured
children through
financial aid,
clothing and
furniture
donations. More
than 7,000 Las
Vegas Valley
residents have
benefited from
the Burn
Foundation in
the past two
years and the
organization has
raised more than
$450,000 for the
Southern Nevada
community since
2003.
The Foundation offers assistance to
people, families, organizations, schools, and the community who
are the victims of fire or other catastrophic event
